Preliminary Environmental Information Report (PEIR)

Future Energy Llanwern’s statutory consultation runs from 10 December 2025 to 15 February 2026.

The Preliminary Environmental Information Report (PEIR) sets out our early findings on the potential significant environmental effects of the Future Energy Llanwern project (FEL). It provides the information needed for consultees, including the public, to understand likely effects at this stage, and supports the Development Consent Order (DCO) pre-application consultation. It also reflects the latest progress in the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), design and consultation.

An online version is available as the Digital PEIR, made up of chapters, figures and appendices. It is summarised in the Non-Technical Summary (NTS), which is the best place to start.
